Now N Later

Sometimes in life,

we do things just because

it feels right at that very moment.

We tend to ignore the fact that

the decision made today

could impact tomorrow

positively or negatively.

Why do it when you know the future consequence is negative?

On time 2

Isn't it amazing how we always want

people to be on time when we need them for something

but we are never on time when it comes to God's work.

We drive miles during winter in the stormy weather

to get to our place of work

but we choose to sit home on sunday

and say stuffs like "did you see the snow outside

it's as high as mount everest!"

Isn't it amazing how we always want God to answer us on time

but the last thing we do is call him.
When he lets us sleep, wake and go about our day without

problems; we forget to thank him. We then run to him

when we're facing problems

and then we complain that he's not on time.

You read the previous post and your first reaction was

disappointment. For some, it was anger.

Do you know that you are DEE?

You are the one that never shows up at the

most important time.

The important meeting

was the solution to your problem

and you were nowhere to be found.

Have you thought about this?

You've been facing a particular problem repeatedly

and you have prayed over it.

God finally decided to pave way for you

through the sermon for the day

and guess what? You were late!

You never even showed up!

Pastor already skipped the solution

before you stepped into the church...

Be on time for God

so he can be on time for you.

Thank him on time

so he can help you on time.

Call on him on time

so he can answer your prayers on time

Bear in mind that his ways are not our ways. When you pray repeatedly over an issue and you do not see a solution; God is not ignoring you. He is a God of amazement. He is waiting for the perfect time to not only surprise you, but shock those around you. Don't rush him into giving you a beetle when he has a bentley in stock for you.

Let’s call this person DEE

Dee is your friend. At times you view dee as your best friend. Of all the friends you have, dee is the one you can count on any day any time. Dee will not say you came too late or you should have asked for help earlier. Dee might show up late when you call at the last minute but dee will be there.

One day, you called dee and said “I need you to cover for me. I ought to be at a meeting at 8am but my flight’s been delayed and I cannot be there on time. I need you to attend the meeting and please be on time. Please be on time because we have to impress these guys at the meeting. If you get there on time and give a great presentation, they will assign the contract to our company. This could land us thousands of dollars. Please dee be there on time. You know we’ve aspired to land a deal like this and I am really counting on you to get the job done.”

“Don’t worry; I got this. I got it covered. We will get the deal. Just relax, board your flight whenever you can and get here safe. Okay? Bye”

The meeting commenced as it was supposed to be but DEE NEVER SHOWED UP.
