join if u want to don't just cuz people say u should
it is good for keeping n touch but then it also allows wannabe friends in ur life to know what is going on
i joined then i quit
oh and sometimes u become obsessed with it so join if u need to keep in touch, have a good way of mananaging wannabes or as i would like to call tehm AWON AYE and if u know u won't get too hooked on it
...because it helps u meet old friends. We organized our high school reunion mostly on Facebook. Over 100 ppl showed up for d party. Wld have been impossible without facebook.
With Facebook, i get to attend events i'd neva have heard of. Good events.
On facebook, i've networked wit new people who i now work with every now and then... young forward thinkin people...
Like GNG said, it helps you keep in touch with old friends, i've gotten back in touch with a no of people from my uni days because of facebook.
It has its downsides cos now i have 54 friends requests, 99% of them are guys i don't know so i will keep ignoring them. My husband refused to join for a long time, then on his birthday last year, he decided to join...
So join if you want to, and if you don't stay off it, i'm on facebook but i go days without getting on there...
Guess the whys and why nots have been very well deba ted already... Key issue is retaining control over time.. Cos it is so much so an absorbing experience...
